PLTW Launch

PLTW Launch empowers students in grades PreK-5 to adopt a design-thinking mindset through compelling activities, projects, and problems that build upon each other and relate to the world around them. The program offers 43 10-hour modules that are flexible and customizable. They can be implemented independently or in tandem with one another, at the grade level desired, at any time. PLTW Launch is offered in both English and Spanish and provides full Next Generation Science Standards coverage.

Population(s) Served

PLTW Gateway students in grades 6-8 explore coding and robotics, flight and space, and DNA and disease and medicine. The program offers 10 nine-week units that can be implemented independently or in tandem with one another. PLTW Gateway is offered in both English and Spanish.

PLTW Computer Science engages students in grades 9-12 in real-world activities like creating an online portal for artwork or using automation to process and analyze DNA-sequence data. The program offers four year-long courses.

PLTW Engineering engages students in grades 9-12 in collaborative activities like designing a home, programming robotic arms, or exploring algae as a biofuel source. The program offers 10 year-long courses.
