Programs and results
What we aim to solve
In over 100 countries 40% or more of the population is age 15 and under. This presents the global Christian Church with a unique opportunity to share the gospel with children, nurturing their faith through reading God’s Word, and mentoring them to become more like Jesus in every area of life. These churches are seeking effective evangelism, Bible engagement, and discipleship resources to help them accomplish their ministry goals. To meet these goals they need resources and training that will engage the hearts and minds of today’s younger generations. We provide sustainable, scalable solutions that are culturally appropriate for the diverse needs of their congregations and communities.
Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
Life on Life Curriculum
One of the most important responsibilities of the church today is to care for vulnerable children around the world who are at risk due to poverty, abuse, abandonment, or conflict in the home or community. While many good programs exist to help them with physical needs like food, shelter and education, far too little is done to address their significant emotional, social and spiritual needs. Through Global Initiatives, we provide a curriculum that fosters inner healing for children with wounded hearts. We co-create the curriculum with partners to meet the unique needs of each country. Currently, we are serving millions of children through local churches in 31 countries in 14 different languages. We also provide short crisis-response curriculum for adults to help children cope with trauma they have experienced due to earthquakes, outbreaks of illness like Ebola, and crises that have forced them to become refugees.

Charting impact
Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.
What is the organization aiming to accomplish?
Our mission is to equip the global church with the best evangelism, Bible engagement, and discipleship resources available to support them in effectively ministering to the growing youth population. We also continue to nurture the development of new ministry resources by other global organizations and assist in distributing those resources more widely.
What are the organization's key strategies for making this happen?
We equip global ministry leaders with free and low-cost resources to effectively serve the children in their churches, schools, and communities. We accomplish this by working with church and organizational partners in over 40 countries. We provide proven resources that are translated and contextualized to meet the needs of children in their ministries.
In addition, we continue to discover unique solutions as well as to develop and curate innovative and effective resources to help our global partners accomplish their ministry goals. We also support our global partners with guidance and training to help them maximize the impact of their children’s ministry programs.
What are the organization's capabilities for doing this?
Since 1875 David C Cook (DCC) publishing has created children’s ministry resources for Christian Churches. Today DCC serves over 20,000 churches in the U.S. The David Caleb Cook Foundation (DCCF) leverages this experience and expertise. We work closely with global church partners, to understand the needs of their children and youth. Through this we develop local solutions that churches can use to meet those needs.
What have they accomplished so far and what's next?
We currently have global partners in more than 40 countries using resources in more than 20 languages, representing a total reach of more than 10 million children. As our partners continue to increase the number of children served, we continue to improve the effectiveness of our resources and develop additional tools and training to assist our global ministry partners in deepening the impact of their programs.
