Charting impact

Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.

Provide a greater variety of concerts that will appeal to a greater portion of the community.

The Board will use social media to increase visibility and provide new streams of revenue.

Develop a comprehensive fundraising plan approved by the full Board by the end of 2019.

Collaborate with other arts agencies to develop a strategic partnership around fundraising.
Collaborate with other arts agencies such to present concerts appealing to students and young people. Include child performers if possible.
Perform child-appealing repertory 

Assess increase/decrease in attendance compared to the rest of the concert season and ticket purchases by attendees for future concerts 
Assess impact of these concerts on attendance two years after first implementation.

Create Social media committee composed of members with social media skills Develop comprehensive social media marketing plan within six months of forming committee 
Assess effectiveness of social media plan through measurement of number of relationships established 
Assess effectiveness of social media plan through number of concert attendees who identify social media as a way they learned about the concert on audience survey

Create a Fundraising Committee to make recommendations to the full Board.
Review other such programs, such as the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. 
Find corporate partners that promote matching gift programs.

The Board will develop a planned giving program.

We have a committed, hardworking board.

We have assigned responsibility for each of the goals to specific board members and include updates on the strategies at each board meeting.

We have a variety of professional development options available in our geographic area and grant funding to take advantage of these options.

We are in a community that values the arts and their children's educational opportunities.

We are beginning to implement a donor management system that will enable better donation tracking.

We have established baseline data for the indicators.

We are in the process of implementing our donor management software.

We are expanding our network within the community, partnering with nontraditional organizations such as the Infant Welfare Society, Food Pantry, and Oak Park Regional Housing Center.

We are also conducting outreach activities in adjacent musically underserved communities such as the Austin neighborhood.
