The loan purposes are for the development of new businesses, expansion of existing businesses, the creation of employment or saving existing jobs.

Prairie Hills works in eleven counties within Illinois: Brown, Fulton, Hancock, Henderson, Henry, Mason, McDonough, Knox, Schuyler, Mercer, and Warren. Also, the City of Washington, Illinois.
