Charting impact
Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.
What is the organization aiming to accomplish?
Legacy's goal is to bless the whole earth by delivering the promise that inspires charitable giving. Our goal is to become one of the largest independent providers of planned giving tools such as split interest gifts, grants, and donor advised funds.
What are the organization's key strategies for making this happen?
Legacy makes critical connections. We connects donors with qualified professional planners. This enables donors to accomplish their charitable mission and produces resources to fund charitable grants. We connect donors with charitable giving opportunities. Donors give more and benefit for from their giving when they know and see the charities they are supporting. We connect the charities and nonprofits we support with funding sources. Charities need money. But they also need people. We help them develop both. We then provide accountability among all of our connections for their respective contributions and benefits.
What are the organization's capabilities for doing this?
Legacy captures funds for charitable purposes that would otherwise be lost to taxes or simply ignored. We do this by helping donors achieve their goals, and by helping professional advisors succeed with their clients. When the solution to a complex tax or succession problems involves a charitable gift, everyone wins, and the world is made better in fact and not just in theory.
What have they accomplished so far and what's next?
Since is founding at the beginning of this century, Legacy has grown from a small operation to a large multi-million dollar fund that supports charities throughout the United States and the world.
