THE EXEMPT PURPOSE OF THE ORGANIZATION IS TO CONTINUE THE TRADITION OF THE ANNUAL LA JOLLA CHRISTMAS PARADE AND HOLIDAY FESTIVAL (NOW IN 68TH YEAR) AND PROVIDE AN INCLUSIVE SAFE, FAMILY FRIENDLY EVENT FREE TO AND THE COMMUNITY. LJ STEAM IS A COMPANION ORGANIZATION DEDICATED TO PROMOTING SCIENCE, TECHNOLOGY,EDUCATION,ARTS AND MUSIC THROUGH SCIENTIFIC MEETINGS AND EDUCATIONAL MUSIC PROGRAMS

Annual La Jolla Christmas Parade
The Annual La Jolla Christmas Parade has been held for over 65 years. It is inclusive and free to all. Over 1300 enter Floats, Marching Units, Bands, Beauty Queens, Equestrians, Scouts, Vintage Vehicles, Grand and Parade Marshals, Community and Civic Leader ride and walk the Parade Route down the main street of La Jolla, Girard Avenue. Awards are given to the best Floats.
Spectators number in the thousands listening to announcers along the Parade Route

How does this organization measure their results? It's a hard question but an important one.
Our Metric is to provide a free, inclusive, diverse community celebrations and events. Photos and videos as well as affiliations of participants provide the evidence of our success.

What is the organization aiming to accomplish?
Our organization goals are two-fold. First to raise funds, organize and conduct the Annual La Jolla Christmas Parade and Holiday Festival Events held in December each year.
Second is to foster STEAM Education through grants to bands when we raise sufficient funds, conduct science meetings as appropriate and encourage integrated science, art and music programs.
What are the organization's key strategies for making this happen?
We are open and inclusive. All our activities are diverse, open to all races, sexes, religions, including atheism and
accessible to all.
What are the organization's capabilities for doing this?
We outreach to the community, we are composed of volunteers who share our same vision of inclusivity and insure that our events uphold our goals and are welcoming to all.
What have they accomplished so far and what's next?
Every year we are more and more successful maintaining a welcoming environment offering education and fun to the wider San Diego community.
We received Grants to expand our STEAM Activities.
