Career Assessment, Guidance

General-purpose aptitude measurement, skills assessment and career counseling and aptitude-based job matching to help the veteran identify and communicate job-relevant aptitude and abilities to civilian employers and to identify "best" civilian career options based on aptitude, interests and native skills.

Career Launch Programs provide full-life-cycle support returning military veterans with nothing more than demonstrated aptitude and a desire to succeed a start to a fulfilling careers in the growth economy. Our Cloud Computing Career Launch Program, in partnership with salesforce.com, provides training and wrap-around support services over -day period that includes a paid internship or full employment,

Key aims:
1) Improve employability and employment outcomes of returning US military veterans.
2) Improve employers' ability to attract and hire best-fit veterans for their companies.
3) Improve the effectiveness of veteran support entities through networking and the provision of shared tools and resources.
4) Help 100,000 veterans identify, prepare for, and land their "best fit civilian careers.
5) Maximize the use of technology to drive broad-based transformation in the means and methods by which veterans and employers forge mutually productive relationships
6) Bring about measurable decreases in overall duplication of effort while increasing overall impact

Employing our knowledge of life cycle career launch process, we have created an interconnected ecosystem that empowers and leverages existing resources while developing force-multiplying tools, methods and resources that that, through shared use, will afford the greatest leverage for all stakeholders. By concentrating on shared tools and interconnectivity, we aim to reduce duplication of effort while increasing overall impact.

For veterans, these tools and resources include transition assistance, career assessment, basic skills training, employer introductions

For employers, these tools and resources include veteran sourcing and communications, predictive analytics-based hiring, hiring incentives capture and delivery, veteran optimized staffing solutions and consulting.

For partners, the source of their competitive advantage resides in predictive analytics to aid in career assessment, technology to facilitate inter-agency coordination, and access to employers.

Volunteers will be

Veterans2Work has built, assembled or delivered the following:

- Robust, highly scalable technology platform that affords direct access to veterans of resources and community, manages, tracks and reports on veteran activity and progress, manages relationships with partners and employers.
- Predictive analytics tool optimized for veteran-employer job matching based on candidates' likelihood of success in a given job.
- Sourcing network of more than 4,000 agencies, veteran employment representatives and military installations
- Job Market Readiness instruction and tools and Workplace Readiness modules
- Career On-Ramps in Cloud Computing, Technology Sales, Help Desk,
- Accelerated Career Launch program whose pilot placed 100 veterans into employment
- 250 highly experienced business professionals available to serve as volunteer mentors and coaches

SO FAR
- 8,000 veterans helped, from career assessment and preparation to job placement
- Created, built and field tested a comprehensive career launch program that prepared and placed 80% of its mostly unskilled veterans into new economy professional careers within 90 days of enrollment, with an average increase in compensation of more than 100%.
- Created and successively field tested "VetMatch" predictive hiring tool for overcoming limitations of military resumes by identifying job candidates most likely to succeed based on aptitude
- Network of US employers that includes much of the Fortune 2000 as well as smaller companies
- Highly scalable technology infrastructure to support ambitious goals
- Recognized by two US presidents and others for innovation in veteran transition services
