Charting impact

Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.

The Historical Society of Saginaw County is committed to serving the community by telling the continuing story of the people of the Saginaw region through exploration, preservation and presentation of their historical and cultural heritage. We are currently focusing our efforts in the areas of growth, people, preservation and presentation and funding.

We have updated our five year strategic plan including our focus areas. We are raising awareness through our marketing plan; We are using and updating a specific development plan for our board and staff to expand; We are working on our collections plan and we are working hard to raise additional funds.

We have a talented and dedicated board of directors, staff and volunteer base. We are all committed to telling the story of the Saginaw region and we are in the second phase of implementing our strategic plan.

Our annual number of visitors has increased, our programs are well attended and response to our changes from the community has been very positive. We have made significant progress on our collections plan. We are always working to improve our operations and we have been successful at decreasing our annual expenses through cost cutting measures.
