The Animal Placement Bureau is a no-kill, all-volunteer rescue group committed to caring for dogs mainly from Michigan and when foster space allows, other states. APB's purpose is to foster dogs that have been abandoned, mistreated or have lost their homes.

Dog Surrenders
Intake of dogs when families or individuals can no longer keep them because of health or family dynamics no longer able to care for the animal. Alternate option to surrendering them to a kennel based shelter or rescue facility.

What is the organization aiming to accomplish?
The Animal Placement Bureau is a no-kill, all-volunteer rescue group committed to caring for dogs from Michigan and other states with the goal of placing each dog in a loving, thoroughly evaluated, safe, permanent home—its last home.
What are the organization's key strategies for making this happen?
Through its network of foster homes, APB's purpose is to house, make healthy, spay or neuter, train and evaluate temperament to determine the most suitable placement for the dogs that come to us from shelters, unfortunate owners, and through local government authorities. Through its members, APB strives to educate the community about proper care and treatment of the dogs we love and the responsibility that comes with pet ownership, including the importance of spaying and neutering dogs and cats.
