What we aim to solve
Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
MWF supports a variety of projects that might not otherwise receive funding from more traditional sources. Individual grants range from $1000 to $50,000. MWF also provides assistance to women and girls organizations and educates grant makers and other groups about the needs of Michigan's women and girls. Funding priorities include economic self-sufficiency for women and public policy and leadership development around the needs of women and girls. In addition to its regular grant making, MWF developed Young Women for Change, a girls-as-grantmakers program in which teen-aged girls in select areas distribute $20,000 per year in grants.
