Regional Regranting
The Copper Country Community Arts Council (CCCAC) is a Regional Services Partner with the Michigan Council for Arts and Cultural Affairs coordinating the Regional Regranting Program for Region 1A. The CCCAC facilitates funding opportunities for arts projects, professional development for artists and arts organizations, and arts support for schools in the six counties of the Western Upper Peninsula, Baraga; Gogebic; Houghton; Iron; Keweenaw; and Ontonagon.
Educational and Outreach Program
Our Education Program includes introductory and intermediate level art classes for adults and youth ages third grade and up. Classes offered include drawing and painting, design, field sketching, mixed media, jewelry, fiber arts, letterpress printing, book arts and printmaking, clay, photography, and creative writing. Two week-long arts exploration camps take place for youth third through sixth grade. Open Studios are in place for Clay Co-op members and will soon include access to our Letterpress Studio and Photo Darkroom. Free Art2Go kits are available to youth aged six to twelve three times a year
Outreach activities enable us to collaborate with other organizations in meaningful ways, to offer our expertise to include art activities in the scope.......
