Vox Musica is a premiere women's choral ensemble that works to fulfill its mission of creating, preserving, promoting, and preserving music worth sharing. This mission is realized through the presentation of an annual season of quality concert projects in collaboration with community partners, as well as through specialized outreach and preservation projects.

2017-2018 Project One--Lux Aeterna: A Vox Christmas

A three-concert holiday performance featuring new music for organ and choir, based upon themes of light.

Vox Musica jumps into the musical unknown with a concert project that will permeate the five senses. Based upon the theories of Goethe and the architectural concepts of Rudolf Steiner, this concert will be a synthesis of diverse music, art, and sensory effects featuring music by Schumann, Mendelssohn, and Reichardt.

Population(s) Served

A Vox Musica collaboration with members of the Nisenan Native American Tribe of Nevada City Rancheria, California, for a cultural concert project that seeks to preserve and support the history, tradition, and spirit of the Nisenan people. Vox Musica will transcribe into modern notation their tribal music, create a documentary of the cultural process and exchange, and will present a concert performance of modern arrangements of their music juxtaposed with video excerpts of the cultural exchange.

This classy, yet casual, concert project will be filled with libations and old Jazz song. Song writer, bassist, and bandleader Casey Lipka, and her trio of musicians, will join Vox Musica for this project.

The internationally acclaimed Rimsky-Korsakov String Quartet joins Vox Musica for a performance featuring Pergolesi's Stabat Mater and Tchaikovsky's Quartet n.2.
