What we aim to solve

SOURCE: Self-reported by organization

Pres House's mission centers on supporting the intellectual, emotional and spiritual growth of UW-Madison students. In order to effectively fulfill that mission we proactively address the factors contributing to the mental health challenges pervasive among our nation's college aged young adults. The root causes of depression, anxiety and substance abuse/addiction are complex, including genetic, economic and social-environmental factors. Nonetheless, our experience, confirmed by outside research evidence, supports equipping students to respond to and mitigate against factors that impair their well being and undermine their capacity to flourish.
