Infinite Boundaries Retreats
Programs and results
What we aim to solve
For 2020, like most nonprofits, COVID has reduced our programming due to limited numbers to safely meet in person. We have pivoted to virtual Infinite Boundaries retreats for Q1 2021. We have also been limited on fundraising with limited in person events, 2 BCR hosted events are in person only and were canceled in 2020. Hoping to host in 2021.

Charting impact
Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.
What is the organization aiming to accomplish?
Breast Cancer Recovery's flagship program, Infinite Boundaries retreat, is a four day wellness retreat for women who have been diagnosed with breast cancer. Designed by breast cancer survivors for breast cancer survivors, each retreat features a unique mixture of healing approaches, including discussions on sensitive topics, creative arts, and outdoor activities. There is healing in nature and retreats are held in beautiful locales. Women who attend Infinite Boundaries retreat are in all stages of breast cancer and all ages. Some are newly diagnosed while others may have been treated for breast cancer years ago, while others are fighting metastatic disease. We provide additional scholarships for those in need.
Our goals for 2021 are increasing our educational programming, Sharing the Knowledge, from 4 to 8 events. Along with hosting 4 virtual retreats, and a goal of 4 in person if we are able in Q3 & 4.
What are the organization's key strategies for making this happen?
Our virtual programming has worked very well to date, and hope to expand this technology for women with breast cancer.
As many are ready to move forward with virtual programming, we are reaching out to many of our sponsors and supporting businesses to expand their financial support.
We also hope to apply for a few more grants in 2021
What are the organization's capabilities for doing this?
We have a small staff at the moment, and are working on recruiting volunteers and board members.
What have they accomplished so far and what's next?
We have updated our marketing towards virtual programming, and are starting contact with the Year end ask of potential sponsors and corporate partners for our Sharing the Knowledge.

- We ask team members to identify racial disparities in their programs and / or portfolios.
- We have long-term strategic plans and measurable goals for creating a culture such that one’s race identity has no influence on how they fare within the organization.
- We seek individuals from various race backgrounds for board and executive director/CEO positions within our organization.
- We help senior leadership understand how to be inclusive leaders with learning approaches that emphasize reflection, iteration, and adaptability.
- We engage everyone, from the board to staff levels of the organization, in race equity work and ensure that individuals understand their roles in creating culture such that one’s race identity has no influence on how they fare within the organization.
