Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
Gardening Program Series
We provide a series of 8 to 10 horticulture-related educational programs that are free to the public. These programs are offered from January to April each year.
The Garden Door
This public garden offers visitors the opportunity to view a variety of garden areas that focus on plants that can grow in Door County. Located on the grounds of the University of Wisconsin Peninsular Agricultural Research Station, the garden is open from dawn to dusk and is free (donations accepted).
Open House at The Garden Door
This annual event invites the public to view the garden areas of The Garden Door. Door County Master Gardener volunteers are available to answer questions. Brief educational programs are offered during the day.
Tuesday in The Garden Door
Presented on the second Tuesday during the months of June
to September, these horticulture-related are presented in The Garden Door. Utilizing the garden when appropriate, each evening three 20 minute programs are offered. The programs are free and open to the public
Plant Sale
This is our organization's major fundraiser. Held on the third Saturday of May, this event offers, annual, vegetable and perennial plants, along with educational material to help shoppers have success with their purchases.
