Charting impact

Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.

According to the United States Department of Health and Human Services, African Americans disproportionately suffer from high blood pressure and diabetes, both of which cause damage to the kidneys. Although African Americans make up 13% of the overall population, in the United States, they represent 29.2% of the more than 116,000 people on the national waiting list to receive organs. Our goal is to increase organ and tissue donations in the African American community through education and resources.

The Providers' Group Inc., has a website where we post weekly blogs to educate our followers of the need to become organ and tissue donors. Weblog articles such as WHAT TO KNOW ABOUT KIDNEY DISEASE IN AFRICAN AMERICAN PEOPLE, WHY IS THERE AN INCREASED RISK?, WHAT’S BEHIND RACIAL DISPARITIES IN KIDNEY DISEASE? as well as Risk factors, Symptoms, Diagnosis, Treatment.

Our organization is working diligently working to achieve our goals, however, this is an ongoing effort.

The Providers' Group, Inc. has been able to keep the website going with weekly blogs to educate and inform the African American community of the risk factors facing African Americans such as kidney disease and the need to become a donor.
