Mission

Our mission is to provide civil legal services to low-income clients. Our legal services provide basic protection for our clients by enforcing the law when their rights have been violated, promote the self-sufficiency of individuals throughout the region, and educate and inform our community residents of their legal rights and responsibilities.

Civil Legal Services

Our full-time staff attorneys are focused on the greatest level of need with the highest level of systemic and community impact through full representation of clients. Our guiding priority principles are as follows: promoting family safety, stability, and well being; preservation or acquisition of shelter and related shelter needs; maintaining, enhancing, and protecting income and economic security; promoting dignity, security, and independence for older adults.

Service Area is the Northeastern 11 counties in Minnesota: Pine, Kanabec, Aitkin, Cass, Crow Wing, Itasca, Koochiching, Carlton, St. Louis, Lake, and Cook
