Programs and results
What we aim to solve
We provide mental health services to children, youth, families, and individuals having emotional and/or behavioral difficulties. Services include: domestic violence prevention and intervention services, psychotherapy, child psychiatry services, psychological testing, group therapy, play therapy, individual therapy, family therapy, and parenting classes. Services are provided in school and our clinical offices.

Mental Health Services
Our clinics provide individual & group therapy, psychological testing & assessment, art therapy, integrative & holistic treatments, trauma therapy, psychiatry & medication management, couples counseling, parent support & coaching, family therapy & play therapy
Bridgeview Drop In Center
Bridgeview is a hub for adults living with Serious and Persistent Mental Illness (SPMI). The program includes transportation, free lunch, therapy & support groups, writing and art activities, mental health education, individual therapy, off-site activities, employment assistance, socialization, community resource navigation assistance, well-being programming and a welcome space to be yourself. This program is free to members.
Domestic Abuse Program
Our Domestic Abuse Program serves Anoka County, Hennepin County & surrounding counties with a variety of services for those who have experienced domestic violence. We provide trauma-informed therapeutic interventions, mental health education, and prevention services to those affected by domestic abuse.
School-Based Mental Health
By focusing our services in schools from early learning centers to middle and high school settings, Lee Carlson Center builds intentional partnerships with schools and communities to help increase access to mental health services and eliminate barriers for children and their families. Our school-based therapists are located within schools to provide therapy on-site to students.
Intensive Treatment In Foster Care (ITFC)
Our Intensive Treatment in Foster Care program is trauma-informed and client centered. ITFC is a flexible and intensive mental health service available to children living in foster care. Children in this program will receive a comprehensive extended assessment, psychotherapy services, crisis assistance, clinical care consultation and psycho-education services.
In-Home Mental Health Serivces
Lee Carlson Center is a certified provider of Children's Therapeutic Services and Supports (CTSS) and is a certified provider of Adult Rehabilitative Mental Health Services (ARMHS). Our CTSS and ARMHS clients also have access to other services the agency offers, including: School based therapy, individual and group therapy, psychological testing and assessment, art therapy, integrative & holistic treatments, trauma therapy, psychiatry & medication management, couples counseling, parent support & coaching, family therapy & play therapy

What is the organization aiming to accomplish?
At least 70% of women in our domestic abuse program will report improvements in their lives.
At least 70% of youth and 70% of teachers will report improvements in the classroom - through our Peer Support Group Program.
Seven out of 10 Bridgeview members will report a decrease in 911 calls or hospitalizations & 80% will report they gained new skills, knowledge and confidence in job seeking.
Our clinical evaluation process will meet or exceed state requirements (e.g. Rule 29, CTSS) and the evaluations processes will adhere to professional best practices.
What are the organization's key strategies for making this happen?
We offer individual, group, family and couples therapy services as well as play therapy, psychological testing and psychiatric services including assessments, medication management and therapy services. Our therapists meet with patients in their homes, at schools, and in the community.
What are the organization's capabilities for doing this?
We hire masters level clinicians as well as bachelor level clinicians who are under supervision. We have in school therapists who return to schools year-after-year, providing stability to those in therapy services.
What have they accomplished so far and what's next?
Lee Carlson Center directly served 2,651 individuals across all programs operated in 2018. Inclusive of the immediate family members and caregivers of those served the the number of individuals impacted by our services amounts to 6,000+ every year. We plan to continue to grow our reach throughout the Twin Cities North Metro.
