Mission

Character matters. It's what moves a person to make responsible decisions despite their fears. It's what leads a person to realize that they matter, that others matter and that everyone's actions matter. It's what motivates a person to be a force for good. At Youth Frontiers (YF), we provide experiences that inspire character, civility and community. We envision a future where our next generation of leaders is grounded in character.

Everybody knows that carbon (C), hydrogen (H), nitrogen (N) and oxygen (O) are basic elements — the building blocks of life. In this dynamic virtual series, we explore the building blocks of an engaged educator’s life: perspective (Pe), curiosity (Cu), compassion (Co), purpose (Ps) and gratitude (Gr). Whether educators attend a selection or all five workshops, they’ll get a chance to connect, reflect and learn how practicing these life-giving elements can support and sustain them in their important work with young people.

In this interactive program, Joe Cavanaugh, Founder and CEO of Youth Frontiers, leverages his 30+ years of experience working with youth to share strategies for raising kids who are strong and responsible and who know they are precious, not perfect — three traits essential to their resiliency and readiness to navigate the often bumpy road of life.

Participants leave Parent Academy encouraged, equipped and challenged to do their part to ensure our next generation is grounded in character.

The Geometry of a Leader offers a much-needed retreat for character-driven leaders to step back, connect and reflect. Participants learn practical ways to be present to the people they serve, humble enough to solicit the wisdom of others and courageous enough to follow their vision despite the cost. They will leave the series inspired and empowered to confidently pursue their call to lead — and to make our community better for all.
