What we aim to solve

SOURCE: Self-reported by organization

A November 2016 report by Wilder Research found that 6,000 low-income senior homeowners in the seven-county metro area need home rehabilitation or improvement work to remain in their homes for the next five years. These individuals are in jeopardy of losing more than just their homes: they face the prospect of losing a fundamental part of who they are. Many are long-time residents of their neighborhoods and took pride in maintaining their homes. Seniors, disabled, or veteran homeowners who lack the physical ability to continue doing the work themselves, or the resources to pay for services, are in grave danger of living in a home that is rapidly deteriorating while they are powerless to stop it.
