Tubman Family Alliance not only operates three emergency shelters for women and children fleeing abuse?the agency also provides a holistic array of wrap-around services for all members of the family covering such areas as counseling, legal aid, transitional support services, job placement and training, transitional housing and housing assistance, health care, developmental screening for children, day care services, violence prevention curriculum for students grades one to twelve in 33 metro area schools, web-based support services, and programs for men and women who have been abusive. Tubman Family Alliance provides accessible and responsive services for all members of the family. We provide men, women and children with the support they need to transform their lives to become emotionally fulfilling, balanced and free of violence and abuse. The agency?s philosophy is based upon helping clients find their strengths?their capacities, talents, competencies, possibilities, visions, values and hopes?and to build upon these strengths as they become physically, spiritually and emotionally whole.
