Charting impact
Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.
What is the organization aiming to accomplish?
Our goals are to continue to improve upon our development of the lives of ex-offender residents in our program. We seek to continuously improve our facilities through updated showers, adding washers and dryers and expanding our meeting and chapel room capacity. We also seek to add enrichment programs by adding a computer center to the facility, to teach life skill classes and connect our residents to family and their communities. Our long term goals are to build a new, more modern facility to meet the needs of the many ex-offenders on the waiting list.
What are the organization's key strategies for making this happen?
We have created a comprehensive Strategic Plan to reach these goals. We have updated our social marketing profiles, are increasing our database of contacts for newsletters, and starting fundraising campaigns for these projects. We are also diligently working on grants for assistance in these projects. We are also increasing our call for volunteers to help us implement the computer and life skills classes.
What are the organization's capabilities for doing this?
We have a board of directors that is very motivated and each member is seeking opportunities in the community. We have a social media expert working on our marketing campaigns and we are seeking volunteers in various ways through the community. We also have a strong list of current church, business and individual donors who we are reaching out to for additional support and guidance.
What have they accomplished so far and what's next?
We have added several new board members, have transitioned to a new General Manager, and have a CFO and social media analyst working with our organization. We have developed a strategic plan and action plans that include all members of our organization and are dedicated to improving our facilities and the depth of the programs offered to our residents before they move on out into society.
