Mission

Spa Creek Conservancy Stewards of the Creek. The Spa Creek Conservancy is an all-volunteer organization dedicated to the stewardship of the Spa Creek watershed in Annapolis, Maryland. Through education, mitigation, preservation and restoration, our vision is to be a model organization for restoring and protecting urban watersheds.

Notes from the nonprofit

The Spa Creek watershed spans historic downtown Annapolis, Maryland, including Eastport and the surrounding areas. The headwaters run through Truxtun Park and eventually open into the Chesapeake Bay at the mouth of the Severn River. Spa Creek provides recreational opportunities for thousands of boaters, fishermen, and hikers each year and provides habitat for many of the Chesapeake Bay's native wildlife. Continued development and population growth pose the largest environmental challenges to the health of Spa Creek.
