Mission

VISION:
DIMH exists to be a leader in homeless services for displaced persons in Central Delaware.
MISSION:
DIMH will accomplish its vision by creating an environment that fosters dignity, respect, and compassion for all persons as they transition from homelessness and imprisonment to self-reliance. This model will included educational opportunities, addiction counseling, employment training, mental health resourcing, and safe and affordable housing placement.

The Dover Interfaith Mission for Housing endeavors to enable homeless adults to regain lives of productivity and purpose. We do this by providing shelter, affordable housing, case management, and guidance that focuses on securing stable employment and income for homeless adults. We also lead a city-sponsored task force which was created to address the needs of the homeless and which is working with several organizations and businesses to create highly-affordable housing opportunities that will meet the needs of many of the homeless in the community,

Three case managers assist homeless adults to regain employment, housing, and health as well as to access services. Assistance with documentation is also provided. Resource Center is available to all homeless adults needing mail, laundry, and shower facilities as well.

The Dover Interfaith Mission for Housing seeks to make it possible for those experiencing homelessness to regain the income and living environment they need for future stability. We provide them with temporary housing and make it possible for them to move into self-supporting, highly-affordable housing in order to foster continued savings towards goals that include independent housing.
