Mission

The mission of the Foundation is to rase funds for renovation & preservation of the historic lowa State Fairgrounds by soliciting and accepting gifts, donations bequests and grants to help finance infrastructure projects to guarantee the Fair can continue to be lowa's great celebration, a salute to the state's best in ag, industry, entertainment and achievement Since its inception, the Foundation has raised over $150 million for renovations and improvements to the lowa State Fairgrounds.

Northwest Roadways Project The northwest roadways project was necessary to create access and flow from the new modernized gate 13 to the inner grounds and to accommodate the west outdoor events area New sidewalks and landscaping also enhance the flow of pedestrian traffic north of Grand Avenue.

Gate 13 Gate 13 was the development of a new admission gate for the fair. The project included the construction of a building with a large overhang for the sale of admission tickets, providing information as well as better traffic and pedestrian control on the northwest side of the Fairgrounds.
