What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?

Developing the Active Listener

Gateway Festival Orchestra’s first board president, Lily Kaufman, loved great music and kids. In her honor, GFO’s “Developing the Active Listener” program is presented by music educators who are members of the orchestra. The program goes into camps, schools, and day care centers to reach children in the St. Louis area. Presentations such as these are a proven way to encourage active listenership. Gateway continues to seek funding for these vital links to the music future of St. Louis.
