Regional Membership Conferences
Beta Gamma Sigma is launching regional member conferences in 2024. Through a pilot event being held in early spring 2024, BGS hopes to provide more opportunities for our members to connect with one another and develop their leadership skills through weekend-long workshops in their area.
Alumni Career Design Program
This 30-day online program will give members the clarity, plan, and accountability they need to figure out exactly what comes next for their career. The goal of this program is to help members navigate a mid-career change.
Beta Gamma Sigma Alumni Network
Worldwide, there are more than 30 alumni chapters and over 10 alumni networking groups to help you connect with fellow BGS members. The Alumni Network provides members with unique professional development opportunities, networking events, and a variety of ways to give back to the community and local business school students.
Alumni chapters host events like:
Happy hour/networking events
Thought leadership speaker series
Sporting event outings
Volunteer activities
Professional development workshops
BGS Career Central
A free resource exclusively for our members! Here you’ll find everything you need to grow in your career—articles, expert interviews, career programs, grad school info and more. It’s just one more way BGS is providing members like you with a lifetime of value.
Ethical Leadership Certification
The NASBA Center for the Public Trust's Ethical Leadership Certification Program is now being offered to members of Beta Gamma Sigma. The online series includes six self-guided modules, featuring CEOs of Fortune 500 companies presenting on such topics as ethical decision-making, organization support, and conflict management/prevention. There is a test with each section and, upon completion of the course, BGS students will receive their Ethical Leadership Certification.
BGS Gives Back
BGS Gives Back encourages members and chapters to give back to their local communities through volunteering. Members can choose to volunteer with organizations or projects in their local area or take advantage of our partnership with Junior Achievement. This program is made possible in part through our partnership with KPMG.
Lessons in Leadership
Top executives and thought leaders share their experiences and thoughts about what they’ve learned throughout their own careers to help members make better decisions, learn about a variety of industries, and bring a global perspective to being a BGS member.
BGS Advantage Webinar Series
A free, member-exclusive webinar series that brings together thought leaders from top businesses to share their advice, insight, and knowledge to give members an advantage as they seek jobs or look to improve their skills. Our goal is to bring our membership webinar opportunities that address issues they may face or skill development they may need, at all stages of their careers.
BGS Entrepreneurship Lab
A free program available to BGS members who are interested in becoming an entrepreneur. Using the Kernal platform, BGS members can share their ideas for feedback from fellow entrepreneurs. Members can interact with one another to share ideas, resources, and best practices. Members will have the opportunity to pitch their ideas with subject matter experts to improve their business plans and successfully launch their initiatives.

Equity strategies
Last updated: 12/01/2020GuideStar partnered with Equity in the Center - an organization that works to shift mindsets, practices, and systems to increase racial equity - to create this section. Learn more
- We ask team members to identify racial disparities in their programs and / or portfolios.
- We analyze disaggregated data and root causes of race disparities that impact the organization's programs, portfolios, and the populations served.
- We employ non-traditional ways of gathering feedback on programs and trainings, which may include interviews, roundtables, and external reviews with/by community stakeholders.
- We seek individuals from various race backgrounds for board and executive director/CEO positions within our organization.
- We have community representation at the board level, either on the board itself or through a community advisory board.
- We help senior leadership understand how to be inclusive leaders with learning approaches that emphasize reflection, iteration, and adaptability.
- We engage everyone, from the board to staff levels of the organization, in race equity work and ensure that individuals understand their roles in creating culture such that one’s race identity has no influence on how they fare within the organization.
