What we aim to solve
Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
School of Dance
A diverse range of 45-50 classes are offered each week including technique (modern, jazz, tap and ballet) and speciality classes ranging from African and World Dance Fusion to Hip Hop and Flamenco.
City in Motion Productions
City in Motion annually produces major collaborative dance concerts featuring many of the best dancers and dance companies in the region. Concerts include "A Modern Night at the Folly" and "Dance in the Park". Both of these concerts are in their second decade of operation.
Professional Dance Company
Eight dancers make up the professional dance company. Under the artistic direction of Tracie Jensen, Joanna Des Marteau, & Marisa Callaway, an environment is created that supports the evolution of original & unique dance pieces that appeal to an expanding audience base.
Youth Dance Theater
Young dancers pursue professional-track training and work with local and regional choreographers on pieces of artistic merit. Students are recruited through auditions and scholarships are awarded on the basis of need, interest and talent.
