Cotillion for Achievement honors, provides leadership and professional development experiences, and funds scholarships for 16 outstanding high school seniors each year. Recipients must attend classes on campus of an Andrew or Buchanan County (Missouri) school.

Notes from the nonprofit

Cotillion for Achievement is a 100% volunteer-led non-profit organization [no paid staff]. All monies are raised annually for scholarships plus the leadership/professional development seminars for 16 recipients. The program is unique! In addition to awarding scholarships, 20 hrs of interactive seminars are provided to enhance the leadership and professional development skills of recipients. In fact, the value of the seminars may equal or outpace the scholarship values. Selection requires well-rounded students excel in three areas: ~Excellence/leadership in community service ~Quality participation/leadership in extracurricular activities ~Excellence in academics Selection is by a panel of 5 judges representing all aspects of the community. Applications are judged without any names or other potential identifying information visible. Applications are open to anyone in the defined geographic boundaries. Former recipients have represented several ethnicities/cultures.

Cotillion for Achievement

A scholastic and leadership organization, providing scholarships and leadership/professional development experiences annually for 16 outstanding, well-rounded high school seniors attending classes in Andrew and Buchanan Counties (Missouri). Honoring the recipients and their parents at a capstone event, the Cotillion Ball, closes out the year's program.
