Educational, Emotional and Recreational Programs

At Friends of Kids with Cancer, we are devoted to providing programs that enrich the daily lives of children in St. Louis undergoing treatment for – and the survivors of – cancer and blood-related diseases. Friends gives back something medicine alone cannot… we give kids back their childhood, with programs that build self-esteem, hope, and quality of life for our kids… and for their families.

Our goal is simple... to "help kids with cancer... be kids!"

Friends is there every step of the way… bringing much-needed comfort and laughter to the entire family. Our Educational Support includes Tutoring, Psycho-Social Testing, Educational Testing, and Educational Planning for patients; our Emotional Support includes Art Therapy for patients and their sisters and brothers, Play Therapy for younger patients and siblings, and individual and group support sessions for patients, families and siblings; and Recreational opportunities to make sure our families continue to “play” together.
