Mission

Restore human rights to the field of mental health by ensuring that criminal abuses are speedily investigated and prosecuted and that people's rights are legally protected. The mission of the Citizens Commission on Human Rights (CCHR) is to expose and eradicate violations of human rights by the field of psychiatry.

1) Investigate and document instances of psychiatric criminal fraud and abuse.
2) File complaints on behalf of psychiatric victims with appropriate local, state and federal officials; leading to criminal psychiatrists and psychiatric institutions brought to justice.
3) Disseminate CCHR educational materials to the general public, legislators, law enforcement officials, educators, health care workers and other publics via newspapers, magazines, radio, television and direct public contact.
4) Educate legislators and the general public on laws which encourage psychiatric fraud and abuse, and on legislative action that could lead to true mental health care reform.
