Strand of Three

Strand of Three's only program is Just because…YOU Matter! bags. We have two types of bags containing healthy non-perishable food items—one for the Homeless and one for the Food Insecure. We purchase the items from local supermarkets. The bags for the Homeless contain enough food to feed two people for 3 or 4 days. The bags for the Food Insecure contain enough food to feed a family of four for about 4 days. To make a general statement, we average it out and conservatively state our bags contain enough food to feed 3 people for 3 days. These red canvas bags imprinted with the words ""Just because…YOU Matter!"" are provided at no cost to organizations, schools, and churches that have regular access to people in need, many single moms and children. By working directly through these partner organizations, our mission to get the bags into the hands of people who need food the most is fulfilled and the organizations' services are enhanced.
