What we aim to solve
Suicide awareness, and mental illness stigma is a ongoing problem everywhere. We are trying to break the stigma and get people to have a conversation. Have a conversation with your kid or family member, do not ignore it, ask how they are doing Mentally.

Charting impact
Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.
What is the organization aiming to accomplish?
Our goal is to bring 5 classes (Mental Health First Aid) classes to our community every year. Bring programs to our emergency rooms and regular Doctors offices. These programs are to educate all employees in these areas on signs of people struggling, and give them a resource to follow up on. Keep working with the American Foundation of Suicide Prevention on bringing cutting edge programs to our community and our youths.
What are the organization's key strategies for making this happen?
Raise monies to bring programs to our community working with AFSP, Nami, and all our local mental health facilities. We are a 100% Volunteer group and all monies raised go to our community.
What are the organization's capabilities for doing this?
Our group is made up of suicide survivors, mental health sufferers. We all have a deep belief and desire to help our community to get out of the darkness. We all have deep passion for this.
What have they accomplished so far and what's next?
We have completed all 5 programs this year. We also paid for 2 people to become suicide bereavement facilitators, and they have started a suicide survivor group in our town.
