Supporting Our Schools
Programs and results
What we aim to solve
Overall, we aim to raise money to support academics and innovative education for all students in the Evansville Community School District. Standard school budgets don't always allow room for teachers to experiment with new ideas or purchase innovative materials. Yet these programs are often the most impactful for students and teachers. In addition, whether they're trying to learn on an empty stomach or don't have enough warm clothing, students in financial need have more hurdles to their education. We provide each school with discretionary funds to help these kids right when they need it, without a lot of red tape.
Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
Wish List
Provides grants to teachers for projects that enhance education rather than funding basic curricular materials, supplies, and books. These projects impact student learning in a very positive way and involve large numbers of students.
Academic Clubs
Provides funding to extracurricular clubs that focus on academics and traditionally receive less support than athletic clubs.
Kids First
Provides funds to each school for discretionary spending by staff and administrators for students who need help paying for field trips, lunches, winter clothing, shoes, etc.

Charting impact
Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.
What is the organization aiming to accomplish?
Our goal is to support education in the Evansville Community School District, in Evansville, Wisconsin. We provide grants to teachers and staff for innovative materials and programs that aren't covered by the district budget. We also provide discretionary funds to each school to help students in need.
What are the organization's key strategies for making this happen?
Our current strategies include multiple community fundraisers, developing relationships with local businesses and individual donors, and increasing our online presence to attract donations from alumni.
What are the organization's capabilities for doing this?
We currently have multiple annual fundraisers that are well-known in the community and have volunteers planning more. Our new website went live in 2018 and we're recruiting students to liven up our social media accounts. We are rebuilding our fundraising committee with new volunteers. We are 100% volunteer-led and give all donations to the school district, except for our minimal administrative costs.
What have they accomplished so far and what's next?
We recently approved grants that exceeded the amount we approved last year. In addition to giving more money than last year, we were able to fulfill each grant request, partially or in full, that we received. Thanks to a generous individual donation, we created a STEM endowment fund this year, which we plan to continue growing for the benefit of all schools in the district.
