Legislative education and engagement: During the 45-day legislative session, Better Utah Institute provided information to the general public on the legislative process and ways by which they could be engaged in that process through its own distribution channels and in conjunction with print, television, and radio media. Better Utah Institute does not provide endorsements, nor does it take any other positions with respect to the content of the panels it organizes or the voter guides it publishes.

Education: Better Utah Institute used its expertise in paid and earned media to educate the public about, and to bring attention to, current issues, including, but not limited to, abortion, reproductive freedom, healthcare access and affordability, redistricting reform, medical cannabis, public education funding, and accountability issues, among many others. With a diverse group of partners, including environmental and labor groups, we developed a coalition around the need for a Community Benefits Agreement to accompany SLC's 2030 Olympic bid. We presented our vision to the public and mayoral candidates, with the winning candidate adopting our talking points around prioritizing equitable community benefits. We organized a roundtable focused on defending reproductive rights in Utah and created space for both moderate and progressive groups that had previously not come together to participate. We developed state-specific messaging on how to talk about abortion in a way that resonates with Utahns.
