Programs and results
What we aim to solve
We are filling the gaps in foster care and adoptive care by providing needs to children in the foster care system as well as foster families. We are also creating post adoptive support to families with conferences and rehabilitating needs for children in adoptive homes. We are also filling the gaps in Survivor care working with Human Trafficking survivors with any housing and emergency needs they may incur while rehabilitating from their former life.
Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
Hope House Boutique
Our Hope House is one of our programs that serves foster families in our area with new and gently used items. These can range from clothing to new personal hygiene items as well as access to up to date car seats, cribs and other equipment. We have also served teen moms, victims of domestic violence, trafficking survivors, homeless teens as well as many others in need.
Post Adoption Support
We have a support group for post adoptive families. This includes social media, emails, weighted blankets, books and resources, and encouragement too! We host an annual Mini-Retreat for moms too.
Transitional Housing
Two studio apartments designed to help individuals thrive in an independent environment.

Charting impact
Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.
What is the organization aiming to accomplish?
The mission of Children’s Lantern is to prevent human trafficking, addiction, and homelessness by eliminating situations that make life unnecessarily difficult for foster parents, social workers, and aged out foster youth.
What are the organization's key strategies for making this happen?
We connect with local foster families and adoptive families to fill any needs they may have. Children's Lantern has created a network of families in these communities to give them the opportunity to have help. Children's Lantern has also created connections with Crime Victims Services and local Law enforcement, as well as local Human Trafficking coalitions to provide for survivors in the best way possible. We will give the normal every day person the opportunity to give to help kids in their communities. We solicit Churches and community members to help where they live.
What are the organization's capabilities for doing this?
We have created a network of nearly 4000 Social Media followers as well as 25 local area churches who have decided to partner with us. We have created podcasts, speaking engagements, and education events to spread the word on our organization. Children's Lantern has housed fed supported and connected with approximately 450 survivors and foster/adoptive kids so far in our communities in 2017 with our final goal of 2000 by networking and giving. Our face to face goal of education for awareness is 3000 people and we are nearly half way there by speaking publicly.
What have they accomplished so far and what's next?
Children's Lantern has the vision to one day be a state wide organization and possibly even stretch across state lines to be nationwide. We have a 5 year goal to be raising $500,000.00 per year as well as helping 10 thousand children and foster families in the USA.
