CareBOX Program

Affect Change, Inc. (dba CareBOX Program) is an innovative nonprofit that operates the CareBOX Program - addressing a gap in services for cancer patients and their families in Central Texas. We provide essential care supplies to support cancer patients in their homes. Most families leave the hospital overwhelmed and underprepared to care for a sick child or adult with cancer. CareBOX Program helps patients and their families identify needed items, collects donations, and delivers the supplies directly to patients’ homes. This innovative approach combines the power of crowdfunding and the simplicity of a gift registry to help us meet this need at CareBOXProgram.org.

Charting impact

Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.

The CareBOX Program's goal is to reduce the financial burden and improve the quality of care for cancer patients in need by providing customized deliveries of critical care supplies directly to the patient's door, every 3 months while a patient is undergoing cancer treatment.

CareBOX Program provides a list of over 40 at-home care supplies to cancer patients in need. Individuals are able to build custom list of items needed to support their care and CareBOX Program deliveries these supplies directly to their door via a volunteer in the community.

CareBOX Program maintains, CareBOXProgram.org, a website that invites donors to join the CareGIVER fund; a monthly donation program that allows the CareBOX Program team to ensure that they can purchase the supplies directly from manufacturers to deliver to the patient.

The CareBOX Program's outreach has doubled year over year since its inception in 2014. To date, they have delivered supplies to hundreds of cancer patients in Central Texas that exceed a value of $250,000.
