School Sponsorship

Retouch currently works with at-risk children in Africa finding sustainable education solutions. We link funding sponsors with the children in an effort to form a relationship that fosters both encouragement and financial support. Children are given food, clothing, shoes, textbooks and all fees necessary to complete a primary and secondary education.

Charting impact

Our goal is to raise the education standards in impoverished communities around the world. Within our schools, our primary goal is to raise the literacy scores for 300+ students. The secondary goal is to have each student be proficient in the foreign language of English. Thirdly, to teach each child to adequately use a computer and the internet.

Our strategy has been and will continue to be to partner with locals on the ground and utilize nationals as educators and staff. We have specialists in the field of teacher training and literacy and bring those specialists in on a twice a year basis to train all of the teachers in our schools.

Retouch is very capable of reaching our goals. We have employed local teachers within our schools and have seen great progress through our trainings. The join support of both US and local donors has helped improve the quality of education that we provide, while also enabling us to build more schools and reach more children.

We have charted our progress through both individual assessments within our school, as well as scoring our school against other schools across both district and national lines. The student's test scores have greatly improved and we are seeing growth in all classes, including foreign language, maths, reading, social studies and science.
