Timothy Two Project, International exists to serve a critical need around the world. We are committed to equipping and training indigenous pastors and ministry leaders with the foundational truths of the Christian faith that they may then be able to train others. In this way, the mandate from Christ in the Great Commission to "make disciples" can be realized in areas of the world where there is little to no formal biblical and theological training available.

What we aim to solve
Two to three million pastors throughout the Majority World have little to no formal theological education. This creates a risk of teaching in the local churches which is not biblical and, in some cases, promotes a theology of health and wealth, causing significant harm.

Pastoral Training in Majority World
First, we develop culturally connected curricula for a particular region/tribe/nation. This material is communicated in a one-week intensive workshop in the field. This workshop is comprised of two principle parts: training the indigenous leaders in the course material, and training him to train others in the same material. Workbooks and resources are given to the indigenous leader(s) to enable them to instruct the believers under their care, and to train them to disciple others, in turn. Finally, TTPI is committed to the long-term success of local churches. To this end, ongoing support will be provided to insure the vitality of the local church. This support consists of email and telephone communications to answer questions and provide guidance; additional resources, as needed; and personal visits as deemed necessary.

What is the organization aiming to accomplish?
Timothy Two exists to meet this need of untrained pastors in the Majority World. We do this through targeted in-person workshops, which guide the national pastors through key doctrines of the Christian faith. Further, we not only train the national pastors but we train and equip them to train others in the communities.
What are the organization's key strategies for making this happen?
Our methodology involves utilizing workbooks that contain sound doctrine but no illustrations or applications. These are completed in the field during the workshops with the national pastors providing stories, illustrations, and applications consistent with their own unique cultural setting. This further serves to provide the national pastors with a resource that is both doctrinally sound and culturally connected, which they can then use to teach others.
What are the organization's capabilities for doing this?
Timothy Two is headed by a team of well-trained pastors and theologians with years of ministry, including cross-cultural ministry, among them. All prospective teaching missionaries are subject to a rigorous screening of their doctrinal convictions to ensure that the organizational statement of faith is faithfully adhered to.
What have they accomplished so far and what's next?
Thus far, Timothy Two has projects underway or in development in 50 nations. Estimates suggest that several thousand national pastors have been trained, either by our teaching missionaries or by our National Missionary Partners - those whom we have trained to train others.
