Every Child Deserves an Education

San Diego, CA   |  http://learngrowlead.org

Mission

Education is of utmost importance in helping solve many of the world's ills including poverty, human trafficking, and health issues. Every child deserves a chance to learn and become an educated member of society. Children have a better chance of learning if they don't have to worry about where their next meal is coming from, how to pay for school tuition, who is going to provide for their shelter, their school uniforms, their healthcare. We help at-risk children in Ghana reach their full potential by providing for these basic needs through grassroots fundraising. We collaborate with our partner organization on the ground to identify and support sustainable and social enterprise projects, such as organic farming, with the goal of lasting self reliance.

Charting impact

Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.

Ensure operational needs are met for Shaisiri Home Orphanage in Cape Coast, Ghana. House, feed, cloth, provide healthcare, transportation and education for the 25 kids in the orphanage.

Provide education support for the children in Children Helpers Foundation prioritizing girls.

Expand the Helpers Farm as a mechanism to support a greater share of the orphanage and educational expenses.

Spreading awareness through various events and programs.

Cultivating donors and establishing strategic partnerships.

Writing grant proposals.

To date, we have
- provided continued support towards the education for up to 125 kids annually
- built and maintained an orphanage (since 2016)
- supported the expansion of an organic farm from a 2-acre pilot to 10-acres

The farm is the sustainability plan for the orphanage and education fees. At 10-acres it currently supports 1/3 of the orphanage operating expenses.
