What we aim to solve
Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
Lost & Found Pets
One of our most rewarding services is reuniting lost pets with their families. We maintain records of animals, both lost and found, and compare them with incoming stray animals, reports from other shelters, Facebook pages and other online lost & found connections.
Pet Adoption
Stray animals found within our service area that are not reclaimed by their owner within 4 days are placed up for adoption. All our animals are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, vet checked and microchipped before going to their new forever home.
TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return)
Not all cats are destine to be indoor companion pets. Many are born outside with little to no interaction with humans. These cats are referred to as 'community cats' or 'ferals'. If they enter our facility as a stray, they are returned to their outdoor home. We make sure they are vaccinated, spayed/neutered and left ear tipped before putting them back. We also work with community members to ensure any outdoor cats on their property are fixed to help control overpopulation. More information can be found on our website: www.marshfieldpetshelter.org/tnr
