Our programs

SOURCE: Self-reported by organization

What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?

Community-Based Programs

WordPlay's community-based programs take place out of our Northside writing center, and are free and open to kids and teens across Cincinnati. Popular community programs include Scribes, a performance poetry group for teens; and WordPlay Saturdays, a variety of storytelling workshops for grades K-8.

Population(s) Served

School-based programs are embedded within local schools, allowing WordPlay to reach students where they are and eliminate many barriers to access. These programs include Readers Theater; Poet Tree; and the Writers Room, an innovative offering that gives WordPlay programs a permanent presence within a local high school.

Population(s) Served

Mobile programming takes place off-site and in specific partnership with other organizations. WordPlay has delivered mobile programs at Clovernook Center for the Blind and Visually Impaired, the Down Syndrome Association of Greater Cincinnati and Roll Hill Community Center, to name a few.
