Charting impact

Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.

Reduce hunger and the incidences of other food insecurities in the northeast Dallas community of Lake Highlands.

Increase the academic and educational success of children in the northeast Dallas community of Lake Highlands whose families are striving to attain economic self-sufficiency.

Distribute food to families and individuals in need who reside in the northeast Dallas community of Lake Highlands through a collaborative partnership with Crossroads Community Services, a member of the North Texas Food Bank.

Provide after-school homework support & educational activities to children from low-income families who reside in the northeast Dallas community of Lake Highlands.

Feed Lake Highlands is highly qualified to achieve its goals.

A passionate Executive Director, Jill Goad, is supported by a well seasoned 18 member board of directors. This is a working board vs. purely advisory.

Of course our largest source of human capital are our nearly 100 volunteers!

We started in 2010 with no clients and became a 501 (c)3 in 2012.

We now have 225 clients (92) families in our Food Distribution program, 33 children in our after school Homework Club, and this year expect to send 50 children/youth to summer camps.

Areas we haven't accomplished yet are expanding our physical facilities or achieved enough sustainable giving to hire more full-time staff.
