What we aim to solve
Extreme overpopulation problem of animals in Texas. No matter how hard we work we still face this issue. There is not enough laws in place or laws being enforced. We continue to support out of state adoptions by researching low animal population states and target adoptions and provide transport of the new pet to those areas.
Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
Animal Adoptions
Animal adoptions of abuse, neglected, or unwanted pets. Adoptions happen from Texas but we also adopt out of state and transport to Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Utah, and surrounding areas.
Strays returned to owners
Part of our mission is to reconnect lost pets with their owners. Animals are scanned for a chip, if there is one we reach out to owners. For animals that are not chipped we have a 10 day stray hold in which we post the animals to Petco Love Lost, Pawboost, and various local social media groups in the hopes to reunite them.
PHAST - Project Homeless Apollo Street Team
PHAST is a team of volunteers that have built relationships with people in some of the homeless camps of Fort Worth. This team helps by vetting, feeding, altering, and providing supplies to the animals, and sometimes to their humans in emergency situations. PHAST has their own Facebook page and a community of followers & supporters.
Search & Rescue
Apollo partners with volunteer trappers in the area to help strays in need. Through this program we have been able to help countless dogs be returned to owners, feral dogs get rehabilitated, and have even helped to capture other lose domestic pets. The team has a variety of traps for every size and situation. Whether its crawling under houses, into large drains, or through the woods, once the team is committed to a dog they do what is needed to catch them, sometimes taking several weeks and even months.

Charting impact
Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.
What is the organization aiming to accomplish?
To help support Texas in the overpopulation problems. Its an on going struggle. We aim to promote and assist owners with spaying & neutering of pets to reduce the population. We also try to provide education and support to help owners keep their animals, reducing the number of animals surrendered to shelters or abandoned on the streets.
What are the organization's key strategies for making this happen?
Reaching out to the community through social media platforms, events, and through volunteers spreading the word. Providing educational material with every adoption. Hosting community events to educate the public on this need.
What are the organization's capabilities for doing this?
We have a vast social media following as well as several surrounding communities that know our mission. Much of our success is due to word of mouth. We strive to respond to every request we get, whether we can actually help, or just provide additional resources.
What have they accomplished so far and what's next?
In 11 years, we have saved over 10,000 animals from abandonment and shelters. Our facility expansions have allowed us to open our doors to more dogs in need, currently housing 100 +/- dogs.
