GHETTO RESCUE FFOUNDATION

From the streets to the sheets!

aka Loving Texas Pet Assistance   |   Anaheim Hills, CA   |  www.ghettorescue.org

Mission

We serve low income, high crime rate communities located in, but not limited to, Los Angeles, California, and portions of Texas(Loving Texas Pet Assistance). These areas are saturated with homeless, abandoned, and abused “street dogs." These poor animals are sick, injured, starving, and struggling to survive. They have no voice and they desperately need help. We rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome these dogs. We also assist homeless and low-income families with their pets.

What we aim to solve

SOURCE: Self-reported by organization

We serve low income, high crime rate communities located in, but not limited to: South Los Angeles, Puerto Rico, and Portions of South Texas. These areas are saturated with sick, injured, and starving dogs that are struggling to survive. GRFF takes care of their medical needs, provides their vaccinations, and spay/neuter. Through a very strict adoption process, we find them safe and loving homes. Due to the economic instability of the communities we serve, we also provide community shot clinics and fund veterinary services for lower-income families, including the homeless population that cherishes their pets.

What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?

Loving Texas Pet Assistance

Loving Texas Pet Assistance is a program believing in second chances for both pets and people. We provide services for fixed and low-income pet owners, in order to keep the companion animal at home. We ofter help with fencing, dog food, medical care, and more, with the focus on spay and neuter, to keep dogs out of the shelter. Loving Texas Pet Assistance works closely with shelters, local law enforcement, and the community. Currently, we are in three counties, Kerr County, Uvalde County, and Maverick County.
