The Bible Song
Programs and results
What we aim to solve
Barna Polls and other research reflect that Christians are lacking in knowledge of God's Holy word. Knowing the scripture "in context" and being able to store His word in our hearts and minds. The purpose of memorization is meditation. The purpose of meditation is informed and inspired obedience. Children have the innate ability to learn, even foreign languages, at an early age. Music utilizes many regions of the brain allowing words to be linked to melody creating a strong memory. Society will benefit for generation upon generation when our children learn values, and morals inspired by God's word.
Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
Bible Song
We teach children through private christian schools and home school settings to memorize scripture by chapter of the Bible through song. Charting impact
Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.
What is the organization aiming to accomplish?
We are making meditation on God's word easy. By putting scripture to music, the melodies can play while you drive, work, exercise, or relax. Frequency matters. Putting a chapter on "repeat" allows you to immediately meditate, however, repetition allows you to memorize as a side effect.
Our goal is to produce the entire New Testament to song. The music is composed and we are working through production. We have produced the first chapter of each book of the New Testament which is comprised of 27 books. We have also completed several entire books, and the first 5 chapters of the Gospels. There are a total of 260 chapters so we are about 25% done. Costs to produce include studio time, professional singers, and musicians.
What are the organization's key strategies for making this happen?
Our strategy is First things First. We have accomplished that by producing the first chapter of each book of the New Testament. We have several Private Christian Schools and more Home Schools that are currently using the LISTEN SING READ WRITE RECITE method of learning. We are seeing Kindergarten age children learn complete chapters of scripture by simply listening and signing along. Materials needed for classroom settings are basic production (piano and singer), lead sheets and/or chords with words, videos with words to follow along. Teachers can utilize reading, writing and reciting as age/grade appropriate.
What are the organization's capabilities for doing this?
Our organization contracts with professional musicians around the world to produce already composed chapters of scripture.
What have they accomplished so far and what's next?
We have produced 60 of 260 chapters of the New Testament (approx. 20+%) and we have several Private Christian Schools and numerous Home School families participating.
