What we aim to solve

SOURCE: Self-reported by organization

Our goal is to create a better, more compassionate world by connecting people to each other. We support the warriors who are struggling in their daily lives -- whether due to a medical diagnosis, job loss, or other crisis -- and we support them by providing financial grants for their most critical needs, and providing the vital connection of being seen and understood. We also find the most compelling organizations supporting those in crisis. Our goal is to find the most effective organizations, ask what they need to continue their work, listen carefully, and determine together how Together Rising can support their work.

Our programs

What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?

Supporting families and individuals through direct grants

Together Rising provides direct grants to families and individuals to address urgent needs. Examples include assistance for rent, utilities, and food for families during the COVID-19 pandemic; car registration fees; breast cancer treatment for a single mom; gas gift cards; and home repairs.

Population(s) Served

Together Rising provides grants to partner organizations by fulfilling funding requests and proactively finding, vetting, and funding those boots-on-the-ground organizations best positioned to respond effectively to crises. Examples include providing advocates and legal representation for children separated from their families at the US/Mexico border, support to transitional homes for women recovering from opioid addiction, support to organizations in the Middle East and Europe assisting Syrian refugees, and support to organizations providing aid, relief and recovery after natural disasters.

Charting impact

Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.

Together Rising supports families and individuals who need help—whether due to a medical diagnosis, job loss, natural disaster, or other crisis—through grants that address their most critical needs. We grant directly to families and individuals, as well as to partner organizations. We listen directly to families, individuals, and the organizations with boots on the ground for them to tell us what they need. We engage our community to fund those urgent, specific needs.

Together Rising connects those who want to help with those who need help. Over the years, we have proven that there is an abundance of people who want to help—but don’t know where to start or which organizations they can trust with their investment. Together Rising is an organization givers can trust. By always being transparent with our donors about the impact their investments make, we have built a community of dedicated supporters who invest in our work on a recurring basis. Our goal is to continue to grow that community, which will allow us to ultimately support even more families and individuals who need help.
