What is the organization aiming to accomplish?
Our vision is to be a streamlined and sustainable, full-time veterinary practice and to be able to expand access to care and keep more pets healthy and in their homes.
What are the organization's key strategies for making this happen?
We are currently following a three-year strategic plan to carry out the following three objectives:
I. Expand capacity within the framework of a consistent schedule to serve more clients.
II. Enhance financial position and sustainability by increasing program revenue and containing costs to sustain increased hours of operation and the number of clients served.
III. Develop a more efficient and effective professional staff, volunteer and Board structure to support increased hours of operation and an increased number of clients served.
What are the organization's capabilities for doing this?
Pets In Need is led by a passionate, dedicated and engaged board and staff with expertise in many areas including accounting and budgeting, business management, statistics and planning. Our medical director is a well-known, tenured veterinarian and serves pro-bono to assure the highest standards of care for our patients within the limitations of the resources available.
