JILL MONACO MINISTRIES
Encouraging People to Pursue the Presence of God and Find Freedom in Christ
Programs and results
What we aim to solve
Jill Monaco Ministries is addressing the need for people to find their identity and freedom in Christ. Many people go to church but feel they don't know how to have deeper encounters with God. Our goal is offer teaching, coaching, tools, resources and books to those that want to learn how to meet with God, hear His voice, pray with passion and be everything God created them to be. By doing this, we believe, we will help people not only know they are loved by God but also encounter His love in such a dramatic way, they learn to love themselves and others. When they operate out of love they will fulfill the Great Commission and change the world in Jesus name.

What is the organization aiming to accomplish?
Our goal is to encourage people to pursue the presence of God because it is there that love is poured out upon them so it may be released through them. We want to teach people how to pursue their own freedom so they can be a catalyst to bless others.
- To teach people to walk in the fullness of the freedom offered to them at the cross.
- To coach people so they can implement tools to hear God for themselves and have a vibrant prayer life.
- To prepare singles for a life long marriage and decrease the divorce rate.
- To serve single parents as the modern day widows and orphans.
What are the organization's key strategies for making this happen?

- We review compensation data across the organization (and by staff levels) to identify disparities by race.
- We ask team members to identify racial disparities in their programs and / or portfolios.
- We analyze disaggregated data and root causes of race disparities that impact the organization's programs, portfolios, and the populations served.
- We disaggregate data to adjust programming goals to keep pace with changing needs of the communities we support.
- We employ non-traditional ways of gathering feedback on programs and trainings, which may include interviews, roundtables, and external reviews with/by community stakeholders.
- We disaggregate data by demographics, including race, in every policy and program measured.
- We have long-term strategic plans and measurable goals for creating a culture such that one’s race identity has no influence on how they fare within the organization.
- We use a vetting process to identify vendors and partners that share our commitment to race equity.
- We have a promotion process that anticipates and mitigates implicit and explicit biases about people of color serving in leadership positions.
- We seek individuals from various race backgrounds for board and executive director/CEO positions within our organization.
- We have community representation at the board level, either on the board itself or through a community advisory board.
- We help senior leadership understand how to be inclusive leaders with learning approaches that emphasize reflection, iteration, and adaptability.
- We measure and then disaggregate job satisfaction and retention data by race, function, level, and/or team.
- We engage everyone, from the board to staff levels of the organization, in race equity work and ensure that individuals understand their roles in creating culture such that one’s race identity has no influence on how they fare within the organization.
