What we aim to solve

SOURCE: Self-reported by organization

We believe that everyone has worth and at times, people need help realizing how to tap into their worth and recognize it. Each program at EmBe has a constant thread--empowering women and youth to enrich their lives. We feel once someone recognizing their worth and understands it, their life is improved and enriched. We help our participants recognize their worth, understand their worth and they take this understanding and demonstrate their worth in the community. We believe that understanding a person's worth starts early in life. Our programs serve individuals ages 4 weeks to well into their 90s. Because of our diverse program offerings, individuals can engage with us in many different interest levels.

Girls on the Run

Girls on the Run is a transformational physical activity-based positive youth development program for girls in 3rd-5th grades. We teach life skills through dynamic interactive lessons and running games. The program culminates with the girls being physically and emotionally prepared to complete a celebratory 5K running event. The goal of the program is to unleash confidence through accomplishment while establishing a lifetime appreciation of health and fitness. Girls on the Run of Sioux Falls is an Affiliate Council of Girls on the Run International, which has a network of over 200 councils across the United States and Canada.
